ぴんぽんぱん
A few minutes on foot from Kobe Station, Ping Pong Pan is an old-school teppan izakaya built around a U-shaped counter. Older reviews often mention the house-named “Ping Pong Pan-yaki,” a mixed okonomiyaki with pork, squid and octopus, made with relatively little batter and plenty of cabbage. Kobe-style sobameshi also appears in past reviews, including a version topped with a fried egg. More than a polished destination restaurant, it is the kind of neighborhood place where you wait for food on the teppan with a drink and naturally fall into conversation with the people behind the counter and local regulars. The shop was confirmed open on site in September 2026.
